As part of our CSR commitments and our desire to promote industrial careers, we renewed our flagship program: hosting a class of middle school students for a total immersion experience. For this eleventh edition of the “Class in Business” program, the 8th-grade students were able to trade their traditional classrooms for the workshops of our aeronautical MRO site, combining the school team with the realities of the working world.
A 3-day immersion into the heart of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO)
The “Class in Business” program offers a unique opportunity for Year 9 students: to spend three consecutive days working within an industrial setting. Far from stereotypes, this hands-on approach helps demystify careers in aircraft maintenance and high-tech industries.
During this session, the middle school students followed a tailor-made program:
- Discovery of the workshops: direct observation of the repair and maintenance processes of aeronautical equipment.
- Employee interviews: privileged exchanges with our technicians, engineers and support functions to understand the reality and diversity of their professional paths.
- Contextualized courses: taught by their teachers within our premises, the mathematics, science or French courses have been adapted to the concrete problems of the company.

Promoting diversity and valuing the jobs in the industry of tomorrow.
For Air Support, this 11th partnership goes far beyond a simple company visit. It is a major pillar of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy. The objective is twofold: to inspire vocations among younger generations and to actively encourage diversity in industry.
At a time when technical fields are recruiting heavily, opening our doors to young women and men helps break down gender stereotypes associated with industrial careers. The modern aerospace industry is an innovative, technological, and inclusive sector, offering numerous and varied career opportunities.

From the classroom to the presentation in front of professionals.
The immersion program concluded with a formal but educational exercise: an oral presentation. Before a jury composed of teaching staff and AIR SUPPORT employees, the students presented what they had learned from their experience, highlighting a job or process that had particularly impressed them.
This presentation allows students to showcase their transferable skills (oral expression, synthesis skills, teamwork) and gives concrete meaning to their school learning as they approach the Brevet des collèges exam.
This school-business dynamic, already rewarded in the past (notably at ICup for our long-standing relationship with local institutions such as Collège Galilée), confirms AIR SUPPORT’s strong territorial roots in Occitanie.

Why is Air Support investing in youth and schools?
By actively collaborating with schools and local student unions, AIR SUPPORT is preparing for the future. Our HR philosophy is based on the transmission of skills and the support of tomorrow’s talent, whether through work placements, apprenticeships, or work-study programs.
We would like to warmly thank the students for their curiosity, the teaching team for their involvement, as well as all of our collaborators who shared their time and passion with the next generation.
